To meet the challenges of sustainable development of the specifications, the building optimizes a bioclimatic architecture to maintain the frost-free thanks to passive solar energy, have natural lighting and a sheltered south main facade , uses timber framing, walls, and siding (Queyras larch), and recovers rainwater for washing winter salting trucks. This building meets the Bdm approach (Mediterranean Sustainable Buildings) and received the bronze trophy. envirobatBDM
