The mill of Chalaux is a small double mill Morvandiau ancestral water, today inactive in terms of hydroelectric production and which was active milling (or flour mill) of the seventeenth century at least until the 1950s, and oil mill, over a period for the moment less well known. Currently not equipped and without wheel, it has however just recovered its double water right making possible a new production of hydraulic energy and has been the subject of a feasibility/ profitability study for a few months.
It is also a small double mill with unique current characteristics:
* as for its location: this one placing it in particular on a river with the flow regulated all the year round, on the arrival of a course of activities of white water reputed, on a place of passage and reception of the visitors of the site and the region... and more generally in the center of the north-Morvan-Pays-Corbigeois and its wealth);
