Discovery tour of the natural and historical heritage of Dizac.

This guided discovery tour of the natural and historical heritage of "an ba rézen" meaning "under the grapes," or the NFB’s National Forest, the undergrowth of Dizac, or the health trail and part of the Diamantinois coastal path is located near the Market in the Dizac district which bears the name of the former owner of Habitation Latournelle (then Habitation Dizac) who was the first Mayor of the municipality from 27 August 1862 until 17 March 1865 then from 4 December 1866 to 18 February 1871 and from 6 April 1873 to 15 March 1877.

This site was also inhabited by the Amerindians between the 2nd and 10th century of our era, they were called "the People of the Civilization of Bitter Cassava"... which is nowadays, an ancient archaeological site discovered in 1962 directed by Mario MATTIONI with the participation of Armand Nicolas (historian from Martinique).

During this pleasant walk, school students will discover the historical and natural heritage of the place around a commented visit, reading two Native American tales: "the legend of bitter cassava and the myth of the Moon" then a game "What is this thing?" which will finalize the activity and will consist in recognizing spaces, plants from unusual photos taken throughout the circuit in the undergrowth, this animation is another way to discover this magnificent undergrowth.
