Intimately linked to the city of Pamiers, the vocal ensemble Voix d'Apamée is composed of amateur singers who have been heard for their vocal and solfegic qualities.
Directed by Alex Rivals, it takes different forms according to the projects: mixed choir, men’s choir or women’s choir. Its members, from the Ariège and neighboring departments of Aude, Haute-Garonne and Hautes-Pyrénées, bring their voice and commitment to this creation.

Founded by François de Caulet in the 17th century, the Carmel, a convent of the religious community of the Carmelites who left the place in 2008, was the last religious order of Pamiers. With a surface area of 2800 m², it includes a cloister, a chapel, gardens, the Carmel or Mirande tower also called bishop’s tower. The Carmel has its own cemetery, which contains the burials of 250 nuns buried there since its foundation in 1685\. It has been part of the municipal heritage of the city of Pamiers since 2012.
