Push open the doors of a church built 750 years ago. Formerly located on the path of Jean de Joinville en route to the crusade, this "cathedral of fields" is now a crossing point for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. This year, it hosts an exhibition on the Way of Saint James (last days on 19 and 20 September!).

Gothic architecture is mainly known for the existence and preservation of large and famous cathedrals such as that of Reims in Champagne, but there are much less frequented churches like that of Blécourt which are also witnesses.
The church of Blécourt was built in the 13th century and has long been a place of pilgrimage to the Virgin and still attracts faithful in September. Kings of France and Joan of Arc stayed there. The building is built in the shape of a Latin cross.
The large interior (78 m long, 36m wide, 16m high under the vault) has a large nave, 4 bays and 4 floors. Visitors will be seduced by the clarity of the white stone, the purity of lines, the harmony of proportions. One will also notice the quality of the work of the sculpture on the capitals, the pulpit of truth, a statue of the Virgin with the child dated from the XIVth century and stained-glass windows of the XIXth century representing the life of Christ and episodes of the local life.
