The former Savary agricultural equipment factory and the Rivière foundry merged in the second half of the 19th century to form an important industrial workshop. The reputation of the Savary Rivière foundry goes beyond the regional framework. The foundry specializes in the manufacture of school furniture and railway equipment, military engineering, substations and telegraphs.
