Birthplace, country houses, holiday homes, Parisian apartments: Colette’s life is punctuated by places that accompany her encounters, loves, separations and new beginnings. From Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye to the Palais-Royal, she never ceased to seek the conditions of a life granted to her desires, her work and her freedom.
Photographs, manuscripts, paintings and archives allow to cross the threshold of these places that nourished his imagination. An invitation to follow Colette from house to house, discovering an intimate geography where life and work never cease to respond.
Exhibition designed and produced by the Colette Study Center of the Yonne Departmental Council.
