An artistic and ephemeral proposal for the public art program of Bordeaux Métropole.
As part of the «Art in the City» program, a new creation in harmony with the unique context of the territory invests each year the plot of Parenthèses de Saint-Louis-de-Montmerrand, which is part of the public art collection of Bordeaux Métropole. This year, Camille Benbournane was invited to transform this space nestled between river and marsh, dedicated to environmental art. She imagined a welcoming place for all forms of life, which remains in place for a season. The work, composed of several sculptural tables covered with plants, offers a refuge where pollinators and inhabitants can meet, eat, converse and relax. This facility will be visible from spring to fall 2024.

Concert of the TRIO EDEMZI: Travel with them in the quicksand of the musical universe, where EDEMZI stands as a unique oasis, fusing ancestral traditions and modern sounds. Their quest? Create captivating melodies with varied accents, crossing the East and elsewhere.

Storms Martin (1999) and Xynthia (2010) on the Presqu'île d'Ambès, a long tongue of metropolitan land at the confluence of the Garonne and the Dordogne, submerged much of the town of Saint-Louis-de-Monmontferrand. Fifteen of the most exposed plots on the edge of the Garonne were classified as Zone of extreme danger, a measure leading to the demolition of houses at risk and the rehabilitation of the banks. These spaces, now called «Parentheses de Saint-Louis» and designed jointly by the City and Bordeaux Métropole, have been converted into places of conviviality or awareness of biodiversity, art and landscape. They are celebrated each year by public meetings during the “Spring of Parentheses”.
The land of 143/145 avenue de la Garonne, where houses were previously held, is dedicated to the metropolitan public art program and named «Art in the city». This plot where new natural dynamics are developing is a privileged place to experiment environmental art projects, land art, which evolve w
