The Centre européen d'actions artistiques contemporaines (CEAAC) invites you to discover the work «La ligne des amers» along the Rhine, in Gambsheim.
Installed on the banks of the river, this installation by photographer Alain Willaume (born in 1956, member of the collective Tendance Floue) invites walkers to walk along a succession of concrete markers, serving as landmarks on the coast.
Inaugurated in 1998 with the City of Gambsheim and the Waterways of France (VNF), «La ligne des amers» was the subject of a restoration campaign in the summer of 2023, with the complete restoration of the 15 terminals and photographs of the landscapes drawn on enamelled lava plates that make up the installation.
Discover this work with the artist Alain Willaume during a guided tour along the water, on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Gambsheim Locks!
Meeting point for the departure of the visit in front of the Tourist Office of the Rhineland Country (1 rue des Écluses - 67760 Gambsheim).
