The foundation of this church dates back to Saint-Goulven, a hermit in the 6th century.
It was reworked over the ages, and finally completely redone from the 14th to the 17th century.
The church was listed as a historic monument in 1862.

According to legend, a first church would have been built in the 6th century by the count Even, by way of thanks for a victory against the Danes and Normans. The church is of flamboyant style. The portico(gantry), in the taste of the 16th century, contains twelve statues of apostles. The bell tower carries the date of 1595.
