The parish priest of Migennes, Pierre-Joseph Magne, had the idea of building, in the center of the agglomeration, a kind of basilica: the church of Christ the King. Baptized «la Lourdes des Cheminots», it is the first in the world dedicated to the worship of Christ the King. Although unfinished, this stone vessel, the first in France to have a reinforced concrete frame, really owes its existence to the stubbornness of the abbot.
