👉 As part of the 40th edition of the European Heritage Days, the Vasarely Foundation, opens its doors free of charge to the public for guided tours, creative workshops and microvisits, intended for adults and children to share with all the world of the artist Victor Vasarely. Emblematic place of Aix en Provence, the building is classified as Historical Monuments, since January 14, 2013, celebrating the 40 years after the laying of the first stone, December 16, 1973. In addition, the Vasarely Foundation, received from the Ministry of Culture the name Musée de France in December 2020. A true culmination of the work of Victor Vasarely, this institution of private law, recognized as a public utility in 1971, was founded by the artist-patron and his wife Claire. Conceived as an open and forward-looking place, it perpetuates the name of the work of Op Art and constitutes a true laboratory of ideas for future generations of artists, scientists, industrialists, researchers, architects and students.
