Musée des Arts et Traditions Populaires
75 Place Georges Brassens, DRAGUIGNAN
- Var
- Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
Located at the heart of the city, the Musée des Arts et Traditions Populaires was created at the instigation of the association of protection(saving) of Arts and popular traditions of average Provence in 1980s. The ethnographic collections of the museum, become Community in 2007, grew rich over time with gifts(donations) of the men(people) and of the women who lived and worked on the territory. These «treasures of the everyday life(daily paper)» manifest activities of the 19th and 20th centuries. They tell know-how, techniques, and uses(practices) that it is about agriculture(farming), about industry, about religion, or about festivities. Temporary exhibitions(exposures) and actions(shares) towards the public make link between these witnesses(batons) and the reality of the territory of today. The shop of the museum presents you a selection of products inspired by exhibitions(exposures) and puts forward(advances) the realisations of local craftsmen(architects).
