The museum welcomes you as part of these European Heritage Days for a rich program that will allow everyone to (re)discover and access the heritage wealth highlighted by the museum. This year, the Museum opens its doors for free and offers its young audience an exciting treasure hunt that invites you to explore the museum with originality! Within the Préhistosite, the museum’s mediators offer an archery workshop for young and old to discover the hunting techniques of our ancestors. A visit to the Baume Bonne cave is also available on Saturday and Sunday morning, upon reservation. Discovery hike to this cave of occupation classified Historical Monument. Booking 04 92 74 09 59 - Appointment 8h45 and departure at 9h - Duration 4h, 2h30 of walk back and forth, provide bottle of water and shoe suitable for walking.

In the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park, in Quinson, the Prehistory Museum of the Verdon Gorges traces the exceptional adventure of Man in Provence for 1 million years. the museum route presents the result of archaeological excavations carried out in the Verdon for more than 50 years: a journey in time accessible to all thanks to a circuit alternating scenes of the daily life of Prehistory, interactive animations and original archaeological objects. Straight out of glacial times, a herd of life-size animals invites visitors to discover the museum.
