"Did you say Heritage?" is an exhibition proposed by the ECHO of 700 years, realized by Mrs Monique Reyre architect in the form of an informal stroll through the old town of Valréas. About twenty panels present images grouped around a common theme. In the course of the discoveries, some comments come to situate these images in their historical context. Unpretentious scholar, this urban walk has for only ambition to arouse the desire to discover, to sharpen the eye of the visitors, to give them the taste of the rich heritage of Valréassien from an architectural pastcomtadin inherited its former privileged place of papal judicature.

Most of the current building was built in 1639-1640 by the Cavaillonnais contractor Bernard Moureau on the plans of the Avignonnais architect François Royer de la Valfenière for Louis de Simiane (This Avignonnais architect owes many buildings in the Comtat, including the bishopric of Carpentras). It was not until 1780 that the symmetry of the composition was completed with the replacement of an old building by the south wing (architect Avignonnais Franque who also carried out the plans of the bishopric of Viviers). Simiane Castle houses in 1823 the college and the Justice of Peace. It was not until 1843, by order of King L
