The Romanesque church of Saint-Nicolas de Brem before 1020 was partially destroyed during the Wars of Religion. It is one of the oldest churches in Vendée and one of the most beautiful medieval monuments of the department. This charming abbey church has a remarkable triangular pediment, wall frescoes and a 17th century crucifix. On the portal, in the triangular pediment, you will see a statue of Saint Nicolas surrounded by mysterious motifs. Several studies were carried out with different interpretations.
