In 1471 the city was built by King Louis XI: 1 mayor + 30 aldermen. A first townhouse was then built near the Pont des Sardines. Then this «townhouse» is transferred several times and in various places of the city. In 1894, the municipality bought the property of Mr. Chabot de Pechebrun, notable of Fontenay. The bourgeois house was built in 1864 on the site of the former Cordeliers convent. The interior design in town hall is carried out by the architect Abel Filuzeau. Inside, you can admire the entrance hall, the wedding room and the office dedicated to Mr. Mayor. Continue your visit by the gardens of the City Hall, space of 12 619 m2.
