When dance meets heritage: duo «Eclipse de l'air», Cie Gianni Joseph
An encounter between architecture, nature and dance. The setting of this show is the mansion Lespinay de Beaumont and the Vendée River. This hotel was built around 1784 for the Lépinay de Beaumont family. The architect will play with constraints and perspectives to highlight a powerful facade, in a small area, while masking the imposing pavilion roof covered with slate. As for the Vendée River, it is part of the identity of the city since its creation around the An Mille. 82.5 km long, it takes its source in Saint-Paul-en-Gâtine, in the Deux-Sèvres, before flowing into the Sèvre Niortaise in L'Île-d'Elle, near Marans. Several bridges have been built over time, real links between the upper town and the lower town of Fontenay-le-Comte.
Eclipse of the Air is a duo around the circle, earth, air and sky. It is a simple and spontaneous instinctive dialogue through the traces that we leave in space dissipating in the immediacy of their birth. Invoking by the same, the lightning of the being facing his destiny with his booklet of memories.
It is the desire to give the body all its notions of voluptuousness, strength and fragility in a materialized bodily affirmation of curves and organic curves. A permanent back and forth between the other and the self, its ups and downs. What is between, but not seen…
