From the industrial revolution to the digital and creative revolution, there is only one step. Les Halles on the island of Nantes, are the perfect example. Emblematic of the Nantes workers' memory, Les Halles now includes five autonomous projects making the creative district a centre of excellence as well as a place of life and culture open to all audiences:

• Les Halles 1&2, a totem building dedicated to economic and cultural stakeholders;
• The School of Fine Arts;
• The Magmaa Food Hall
• Halle 6 Ouest, Nantes University’s interdisciplinary hub, dedicated to digital cultures;
• and Halle 6 Est, a hotel for digital and creative companies.
