The wash-house seems to have been built on the source of the Couture stream which slides between the slabs of the bottom. The wash-house, made of red sandstone partly plastered with lime, is highlighted with tuffeau stones in the corners. Beautiful slate slabs line the inclined plane where the linen was rubbed
