The guided tour is commented by the owner every hour. It takes place in the gardens and then in the convent chapel where you can admire two remarkable recumbents of the fourteenth century. Finally visit of the external chapel built to offer to the veneration of the faithful a piece of the cross of Christ brought back from the Holy Land in 1244 by the knight Jean d'Alluye.

Founded in 1131, endowed during XII° with an abbey, the sanctuary of which remains today and a choir bay, the Cistercian abbey of La Boissière adds in 1244 to this monastic ensemble a chapel outside-enclosure, intended to shelter the relic of the True Cross which it has just acquired and which attracts many lay pilgrims. The conventual buildings were completely rebuilt in XVIII°. The chapel, of small dimensions and rather sober exterior, conceals inside a very complex Angevin vault, with liernes and tiercerons; the finesse and elegance of its ribs make it one of the most completed models of this local style. French gardens and massifs surrounded by boxwood. Wooded site at the entrance of a small valley completely dotted.
