On the Sarthe side, the visit consists of a presentation of the places and a free walk in the gardens and park of the castle of Lorrière, whose terrace dominates the small valley of the Marconne. Traditionally, we exhibit on this occasion the paintings of regional artists as well as the works of a wood turner. The original manor house was built in the 15th century on an old fortified site in the Middle Ages: its chapel is worth visiting, with its stained glass windows of the Alleaume workshops, Mayenne. On the Maine-et-Loire side, a dolmen and a menhir are places of ancient legends.

Rebuilt in the 15th century on the site of an old fortress, enlarged in the 19th century, the castle of Lorrière, classified in the additional inventory of historical monuments, dominates the small valley of the Marconne. Two megaliths mark the access. The gardens created in 1920 are the work of landscape architect Jules Vacherot, former head of the gardens and parks of Paris.
