The museum is housed in the listed gardens of the castle, residence of the counts of Toulouse. It occupies the buildings of a convent built around 1870\. Open to the public since 1985, the museum offers a thematic tour.
* La pierre de Beaucaire The book of the Confrérie de Saint-Marc and a sampling of the tools used by the last quarry illustrate the history of the quarries of «pierre de Beaucaire».
* La Foire de la Madeleine Posters and prints (17th to 20th century), models, recall the splendour of the famous Beaucaire fair.
* Words and colours of the Félibrige Fichus d'indienne, jewellery of Arlésiennes, furniture, manuscripts of local félibres in Provençal dialect, testify to the attachment of the Gard city to Provençal traditions.
* An archaeological museum The pre-Roman period is illustrated by the discoveries made in the Gallic necropolis; the importance of the Gallo-Roman city, a road relay on the domitian road, is highlighted by the dedication to Titus Carisius: Praetor
