A small Romanesque building whose foundations date from the 11th century, the chapel of Saint-Jean-Baptiste was abandoned at the end of the 17th century for a new parish church. Rediscovered by Léon Alègre in the 1860s, it was forgotten again at the beginning of the 20th century. And it was not until 1969 that a restoration committee was created to save it.
After its inscription as a Historic Monument in 1986, it was restored and opened to the public.
