Old(Former) episcopal palace, the building adopts(accepts) the plan of a mansion between court(yard) and garden. The museum possesses more than 30 000 rooms(parts,plays) which manifest nîmoise life since High Middle Ages. Textile collections existent from manufacturers traders of the XVIIIth century, bottoms of the School of Manufacturing of Nîmes, typical nîmois furniture and from Cévennes, regional potteries are the jewels the museum of which makes case. One of the permanent rooms is devoted to the fabulous legend of the jeans.
