À propos du lieu

Maison du Roy
20 place du Roy, 47700 Casteljaloux
  • Lot-et-Garonne
  • Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Building of the XVIth century established(constituted) by monumental fireplaces, by a stone staircase and by a door dated the XVIIth century. It was called House of Roy after the successive visits of the kings Louis XIII and Louis XIV. His construction is attributed(awarded) to the viscount de Turenne, governor of the city. Sheltering a beautiful exhibition hall with French-style ceiling and a fireplace, the house also welcomed Henry III de Navarre, baron of Casteljalou in 1572.
