Because of prestigious character of its collections, the museum of Aquitaine installed(settled) in the premises(places) of the old(former) Faculty(Power) of the Letter of Bordeaux, became a patrimonial reference in France. Kissing(Embracing) so diverse domains as archaeology or regional ethnology but also extra-European civilisations, it is also an encyclopaedic museum as shown by the big(great) wealth of its temporary exhibitions(exposures). The museum defines itself today at once as «museum of heritage »which presents collections of a big(great) interest and as «museum of civilisation» which questions the past to answer contemporary questions.
