The Tourist Office Pays de Nexon - Monts de Châlus offers a guided tour of the castle of Nexon and part of its area (stables and park).
Built in the 17th century, it will remain the property of the family of the same name until 1983, when the municipality will acquire it.
Located on the Richard the Lionheart route, it is a must-see site due to its rich history and traces of its equestrian past. From the creation of the stud farm in the 16th century to the arrival of Annie Fratellini’s circus in the 70s, a visit rich in stories and anecdotes not to be missed! Exceptionally open to visitors.

Castle builds in the XVIIth century, it will stay property of the family of Nexon until 1983, date in which the municipality will purchase there. The domain (castle, stables and park) the witness(baton) of the existence of the Stud farm is, creates from the XVIth century by the owners. He(It) is also a member(part) of the Road Richard Coeur de Leo, one of the inescapable(major) tourist roads of Haute-Vienne.
