The Market Gardening Museum presents the evolution of market gardening practices during the 20th century. The hangar and dovecote of the castle of Lescombes, located 198 avenue du Taillan, and the cabin, rue du Prado, recall the activities and the know-how of many Eysinais.
The cabin in the heart of the marsh’s agricultural grounds evokes the daily life of market gardeners who spent their working days there. We discover the crampot where we ate at noon and where we warmed up by the fireplace; the space for washing and conditioning vegetables around the wash-house and the crane that allowed the loading of the harvest on the wagon the day before the departure to the Capucins market in Bordeaux.
