Do you know Roger-Henri Expert? This renowned architect of the early twentieth century built three art-deco villas in Pyla-sur-Mer.
The Tethys villa is the most famous and is listed in the additional inventory of historical monuments. The owners open their doors for a guided tour to enjoy a Mediterranean atmosphere.

This villa is part of a set of five villas built by architect Roger-Henri Expert in Arcachon from 1924 to 1927\. Located on the edge of the ocean, Villa Thétys (named after a Greek marine goddess) is organized around a large central rotunda room that recalls both Greek and Palladian architecture. Facing the sea on the west side, it overlooks, on the east side, a regular garden also designed by Expert, which mixes architecture, vegetation and water games and gives this facade a more intimate appearance.
