Guided tours of the exhibition "Là-eau! " and conferences
It was at the beginning of the 20th century with the discovery of reinforced concrete, that architects gradually abandoned the aerial tanks to give, from the 1960s, innovative forms to water towers and realize real architectural works.
The futuristic forms, feats of concrete with unknown functioning, also remind us that they revolutionized everyday life, bringing water with abundance.
Artifacts in the landscape, water towers disturb us, shake our perception, intrigue by their forms, stir our curiosity, arouse the imagination and enliven memories…
Imagined as an invitation to dream, contemporary artists will support the exhibition by offering their unique vision of the water tower and water. Everyone. e will be invited. e, through an ambulatory journey, to live a journey sometimes initiatory, sometimes fantastic, to discover the fascinating architectural heritage of the water castles of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
The theme of water towers will also be an opportunity to address water issues for the coming years. The challenge for the years is to preserve the quantity and quality of water to ensure a quantity of fresh water available to the population.
