The Périgueux sports park located since the beginning of the 20th century, between the Isle and the railway tracks west of the SNCF Technicentre, was expanded 40 years ago to accommodate a stadium with a grandstand larger than the former Roger Dantou Stadium. Inaugurated in 1973, the municipal stadium of Izards, renamed stadium Francis-Rongiéras in 2001 in memory of the rugby player died on the field in Périgueux ten years earlier, enters this year into a phase of restructuring work integrating the upgrading of the equipment and the development of its surroundings.
