The Marquis de Mesplès organizes a great celebration in honor of Queen Jeanne d'Albret. In renaissance dress all the court of His Majesty gave appointment to the castle of the Valley of Josbaig to show his allegiance to the queen. Characteristic of Béarnaise architecture, the Castle of Mesplès is one of the rare testimonies of the art of living of the high Béarnaise aristocracy of the first half of the eighteenth century.
