Immersion in the diversity of the Landes landscapes
Reconnecting with nature, knowing it, recognizing it... Founded in 1976 by the association Les Amis de Jean Rostand, the site of the Centre de Biodiversité Jean was chosen by biologist Jean Rostand and his collaborator, naturalist Pierre Darré, as a meeting place between man and life.
It is a unique space, gathering the diversity of the Landes landscapes: wet moors, dry moors, marshes, peatlands, streams, ponds and forests. Rich in fauna and flora as prodigious as precious, but so fragile.
The 3km course along the ponds, punctuated by educational modules, allows us to realize the richness of the natural environments of our territory, that of our planet, and the ever increasing impact of man on all living things.
