Place allowing the discovery of life and of work of the great scientist Limousin Louis-Joseph Gay-Lussac. Born to Saint Leonard on December 6th, 1778, he was the first top - Viennese to include Grande École of Science and Technology in 1797\. Chemist and world-famous physicist, he was also a man of civil society(non-trading company) elected three times delegated by extramural Limoges. It was the first professional scientist. Come share with us a moment of scientific culture, in the discovery of the scholar, his works, his relations with other European scholars (Humboltd, Davy, Faraday, Liebig), a convivial way of making the history of science. You will discover silversmith's talent of the manufacturers of scientific instruments of the XIXth century.
