The Briance Sud Haute-Vienne landscape is crossed by the Limoges-Brive railway line built between 1885 and 1893. Among the important constructions linked to the creation of the line, two remarkable works of art dominate the valleys of the two Briances: the viaduct of the croup in Saint-Germain-les-Belles and the viaduct of Pierre-Buffière.
