Join us for this unique visitor experience with artist Bérénice Sagaz, in residence at the museum and specializing in the exploration of supercyclage deposits of falls and scrap leather. This visit will highlight the collection of Egyptian antiquities presented this winter at the BAL, in connection with the artist’s research. At this meeting, Bérénice Sagaz will share his interest in leather materials, unveiling his sculpted, woven, pleated and pierced creations. You will have the opportunity to discover the creative potential of this material by experimenting with different textures and manipulating the works. This interactive tour will allow you to explore the links between ancient Egypt and contemporary creation, taking in the artistic world of Berenice Sagaz. You will be invited to touch, feel and approach the artistic realizations made from leather, while exploring an infinite field of possibilities.

The Fine Arts Museum of Limoges has as its setting the former episcopal palace built at the end of the eighteenth century; located between courtyard and garden, at the foot of the cathedral, the monument, classified under the title of Historical Monuments, has been completely restored as part of a complete museum restructuring led by the Parisian firm Philippe-Charles Dubois & Associés. The presentation of the collections, very rich, was reorganized into four departments spread over the three levels of the palace.
