Come and discover this first Baroque church in Bordeaux, consecrated more than 400 years ago.

Consecrated in 1620, former chapel of a convent of Chartreux, it was the first baroque church of Bordeaux.
The visitor can see a number of remarkable works of art.
Panels with photographs are available. There you will find all the explanations on the architecture of the building and the organs, as well as on the sculptures or paintings.

First baroque church in Bordeaux, old(former) chapel of chartreux convent(Carthusian monk's convent), dedicated in 1620\. Retable remarkable for the works of art which it contains.
Annunciation: statue of the Virgin(Virgo) by Pietro Bernini; statue of the Angel by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and picture(board) of the Assumption of Philippe de Champaigne; finally the trompe l'oeil(window-dressing) remarkable ceiling.
