During the visit, you will learn more about the history and architecture of the castle by discovering its exterior.
Your guide will then take you to the caves and cluzeaux, these rock shelters built by man to live there.
Exceptionally, in one of these caves, will be restored for you the old kitchen of the castle!

Renaissance - at the beginning of the XVIth century. The castle of Hierce establishes(constitutes) one of the most beautiful examples of architecture and of sculpture Renaissance in Périgord. It is built on a site occupied since several thousand years, as testify it the troglodytic housing environments annexed to the castle, one of them is adorned with prehistoric engravings.
