École Municipale d'Arts (EMA)
2 rue Dumyrat, 19100 Brive-la-Gaillarde
- Corrèze
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Created in 2000, the Centre Municipal d'Arts Plastiques became the École Municipale d'Art in 2022\. Today, it welcomes nearly 300 students every week.
The Municipal Art School is non-degree. Its mission is to offer, in the best pedagogical conditions, to all students, practice and artistic culture in the different disciplines proposed.
The courses are given by qualified artists-teachers who are involved in both the life of the school and in a personal artistic approach. The techniques proposed are varied and the media reflect the diversity of the modes of expression. Thus, the Municipal Art School is a real place of conviviality and creativity where everyone can develop his passion and share his artistic experience.
The development of graphic arts (specific to drawing) and plastic arts (multidisciplinary: drawing, painting, volume, etc.) requires a better “information and training” of the public, through a learning of the techniques of expression and the history of art.
