Continuously throughout the day from 10am:

• Exceptional opening of the Musée des Forges from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
  Push open the door of the Forges Museum (located in an old flour mill) and discover the life and work of the Landes workers of the nineteenth century. The volunteers of the association Les amis des forges will immerse you in the heart of the Landes metallurgical adventure.
• Treasure hunt in autonomy from 10h to 18h.
  The «State Montois Orienteering Course» is associated to offer you an activity to do alone, with family or friends! Come and discover the heritage of the village of Brocas while having fun. This event is an orientation race called «to the score»: no route and order imposed, you define your route in team cohesion in an urban and bucolic environment in search of time spent. Within a defined time limit at the start of the race, you must validate a maximum of positions corresponding to points

• Demonstration stand of a blacksmith from 10am to 6pm.
  Come and see a demonstration of know-how with Martin Kreienbuhl, a blacksmith by profession. Throughout the day, you will be able to attend the forge of housewarming, volutes and pine cones… symbols of the forges of Brocas.

  On the agenda for this day:

• 10am to 10.30am: welcome coffee and launch of the day by Mr. the Mayor of Brocas.
• 10h30-11h: presentation of the restoration work of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church by Jean-Luc Blanc-Simon, mayor of Brocas, and Giselle Lafitte, of the Association des Amis de l'Estrigon. Meeting point: in front of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church.
• 11h-11h30: «flash» visit of the church by Vincent Matéos, mission officer of the protected heritage of historical monuments, department of Landes. Come and discover the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church and its singularities… in 30 minutes! Meeting point: in front of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church
• 11.30-12.30: guided tour of the village of Brocas by Philippine PIEL, project manager Inventory of built heritage in the Landes de Gascogne regional natural park. Meeting point: in front of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church.

• CATERING
  The Workers' Circle can welcome you for a meal (on reservation at 05 58 51 42 41). A picnic area will be available in the courtyard of the Brocas elementary school.

• 14h-15h30: guided walk «discovery of the forges of Brocas» and presentation of the restoration works of the Grange, by Maïté Crouts de Paille, association of the Friends of the forges, and Philippe Leblanc, architect of the heritage. It is in a green setting combining natural heritage and built that the forges of Brocas. Between the pond, the Estrigon, the workers' town, the ironworks master’s house and the finishing workshop, dominates the blast furnace dating from 1832. The entire site has been listed as a Historic Monument of France since 2006. The Friends of the Forges association welcomes you to discover this unique site. Meeting place: Forges museum.
• 15h-16h00: wild bees discovery walk, by Antoine Bertoux, technical coordinator LIFE wild bees, in the Landes de Gascogne regional natural park. Come and discover the mysterious world of pollinators and especially wild bees. The Wild Bee Life program invites you to immerse yourself in the incredible diversity of these small animals and better understand their importance to our environment. • 15h30-16h30: commented presentation of the works of the Forest of Contemporary Art, by Madeleine d'Ornano, mediator Forêt d'Art Contemporain. Located in the territory of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park, you will be presented the territorial animation project and the work n°27, entitled "Volute", and realized by the artist Estelle Deschamp in 2022 in the center of Brocas, in connection with the ancient heritage of the village.

• 16h-17h: guided walk on the built heritage of the architect Léonce Léglise, by Vincent Matéos, responsible for the protected heritage of historical monuments, department of Landes.
  The vault of the church will collapse in the night of March 2 to March 3, 1928. Rober Bézos, mayor at the time, approached Léonce Léglise, a former student of the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts (1877-1931), an architect based in Mont-de-Marsan. He will be entrusted with many constructions, the new church of Brocas in this architectural revival of Art Deco. He will realize public monuments, he will rehabilitate the old hall of 1852 which he transformed into town hall, hall of the parties and apartment of the teacher, then will follow many projects such as baths showers, bakery, bridges, and villas that we can always see throughout the tour that will be offered to you in Brocas. Meeting point: departure to Saint-Jean-Baptiste church.
• 16h30-17h45: walk around the pond, with the municipal council of Brocas-les-forges. He takes you with him for a friendly walk around the heart of Brocas and its pond. This will be an opportunity to discuss with you all that the municipality undertakes to safeguard this heritage that is an integral part of the identity of the village.
• 17h45-18h15: visit of the bullring of Brocas, with Philippe Mailho, Cercle Taurin de Brocas. Guided by Philippe Mailho, discover the Brocas arenas. You will know everything about its history, its chapel, the meeting room of the bullring, the toriles etc… He will answer the questions you may be wondering: why a track 40.50 m in diameter? Who was Jose Cubero said «El Yiyo»? And more.

  From 18:30 – APERITIF-MEAL (paying) animated by the bandas at the house of the master of forges What better way to end this day of celebration of the heritage of Brocas-les-forges on the theme of «living heritage», what a festive and friendly time at the Maison du Maître des Forges?
