Free visit of Mesnil Voysin Castle in Bouray sur Juine.
Thanks to the owner of the estate, the municipality of Bouray, the association Bouray and its history and the volunteer members, visitors will be able to enter the castle of Mesnil-Voysin on 16 and 17 September 2023 on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
Visitors will be greeted by hand-picked volunteer members and exhibitors. The public will be able to marvel in front of a parterre of vintage cars, visit the bread oven, the dovecote with its original frame and its mobile denichoir, the chapel being restored, the large lounge, then relax throughout the stands. Will be present a flock of sheep with a demonstration of shepherds dogs, a beekeeper, a ironworker, a upholsterer, wood turner, roofers, window maker, etc... The bread oven is exceptionally put back on for these two days and allows to make old-fashioned bread and fougasses cooked over a wood fire. Apple juice is also made on site and sold to a local association.
Small gourmet market and patite restaurant on site.
