Free visit of the museum space of the French Federation of BasketBall
The FFBB Museum Space opens its doors to the public. Discover a selection of pieces from the Basketball Museum’s collections and explore the history of basketball. The FFBB Museum Space was inaugurated in 2011 and updated in 2016. It is the result of a collaboration between the French Federation of BasketBall and the French Basketball Museum. Visitors can visit the basketball gallery and the Yvan Mainini Research and Documentation Centre. The gallery offers remarkable pieces from the Museum’s collections and the scenography stages the history of basketball and the specificities of its development in France. Jerseys of great teams, equipment of all eras, medals gleaned by the teams of France (at the Olympic Games, World Cup and European Championship) a model of the oldest basketball room in the World, posters, etc. At the Research Centre, usually reserved for researchers, students and journalists, the books of the library of the Basketball Museum and the historical archives of the FFBB are available. A selection of books and documents will be made available to the public. Throughout the day, free visitors will be able to exchange with members of the Heritage & Legends Commission of the FFBB and the Club des Internationaux who have all worn the jersey of the French basketball team.
