After crossing the majestic courtyard of the Great Stable, you will enter a disarming place of luxurious simplicity. When he was entrusted with part of the Grande Écurie to host a company-school unique in the world, Bartabas, in close collaboration with the services of the Castle and the Historical Monuments, asked Patrick Bouchain with whom he established a long time, relations of complicity and dialogue, for the rehabilitation of the place. The merry-go-round was conceived as a theatre setting, a small wooden casket set in the stone envelope with, in the blink of an eye at the Hall of Mirrors, the chandeliers in Murano glass and the mirrors where horses and riders are reflected to infinity. The simplicity of the materials, the assembly of beams and boards recall the ephemeral constructions of Versailles in the past; this light and mobile architecture is inspired by the Farnese theatre of Parma.
