Guided tour of the garden city of Suresnes
Through an urban walk in the heart of the garden city, the MUS invites you to discover this remarkable set of social housing from the interwar period.
The garden-city of Suresnes carried by the mayor of the time, Henri Sellier and imagined by the architect Alexandre Maistrasse is one of the three garden-cities labeled heritage of regional interest in 2018. Built between 1921 and 1956, special attention is paid to the decorations of buildings and public places to awaken the inhabitants. The visit will end in front of the Jean-Vilar Theatre, an important place in the life of the garden city and right next to the heritage apartment (historical reconstruction of an apartment from the 1930s) open all afternoon on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
