The Paris University Library 8, built in 1998 by the architect Pierre Riboulet and equipped by the designer Albert Gilles-Cohen, is "a bridge-building with bird-books".
Designed to accompany learning, it is a lasting testimony of the cultural heritage of the Seine-Saint-Denis. It bears anagrams of the Oulipo (The future is for readers/ Only exact star a book) and offers its 23,000 students a surface area of 15,000 m², 400,000 books and cutting-edge digital equipment.
We will walk together in the public spaces and shops, and end with the exhibition from the lobby.
