On the site of the present church was built a primitive church between the 5th and 10th centuries. Excavations in the choir of the church uncovered ancient sarcophagi. The present church of Saint Pierre Saint Paul was built in the 12th century. It was entrusted in 1270 to the religious of Sébaste. In the 19th century, the church was enriched with numerous stained glass windows, the pulpit with its statues of the four evangelists, and the central altar.
