Auguste Allongé, La rivière bordée d'arbres têtards, Collection Mairie de Bourron-Marlotte. P.Lacombe

Come and discover the works housed by this town hall that preserves more than 400 works of small masters of the nineteenth century.

The town hall-museum of Bourron-Marlotte is decorated by a Parisian artist resident in the town between 1906 and 1922 approximately, Charles Moreau-Vauthier. A student of Gérôme, he abandoned painting at the Salons quite quickly but remained an outstanding animator. Mobilizing his friends from Paris and the Fontainebleau region, he managed to gather nearly 70 works to open in 1907 the "Petit Musée" of the Mairie. Donations have continued regularly to feed this small museum that today brings together more than 400 diverse works, some of which are classified.
