Come and discover a very old church of Gâtinais with its funeral liters and its German romantic organ.

Exceptionally for the European Heritage Days, the church of Bourron-Marlotte, one of the oldest churches in Gâtinais (11th century) opens its doors.
Located in the immediate vicinity of the castle of Bourron, the church knew "learned" priests: the vicar Vansleb, the priests Oudin and Pougeois.
The transept, part of the nave and choir are classified as historical monuments. The visitor will be able to discover the rare funeral liters, the tombstones, the stained glass windows and the statues of Saint-Avoye and Saint-Sévère (patron saint and patron saint of the parish), without forgetting other statues (Saint-Fiacre..).
He will also be able to admire the new and exceptional organ built and installed in 2012 by organ builder Yves Fossaert, of German romantic style.
In addition to an explanatory enamelled plaque outside, explanatory panels, a booklet retracing the history of the place and permanences will be able to bring you the information and expected information.
Enjoy your visit!

Church of the eleventh century enlarged around 1850 with tombstones, funerary liters, and statues of the sixteenth and seventeenth century without forgetting a beautiful statue of Saint Fiacre by the sculptor Py. You can also admire the new organ built by the postman Yves Fossaert: of German romantic style, it is a real rarity.
