Historical sketches at Savigny-le-Temple Castle
From 2pm, historical sketches based on archival documents: "Scenes of life in the castle: from everyday to history".
We could have asked the ghosts of the castle of Savigny-le-Temple, so numerous and so relevant since they lived the life of said castle, to come to haunt each room: we did not have the cabalistic codes to reach them!
We could have used new technologies to propose
holograms of the inhabitants of the castle through the ages; they would have impressed you and seduced you: too expensive!
So we, the members of the association, preferred to invest
regularly the rooms during guided tours that describe the history of the
Castle, add small scenes played: sketches, written by ourselves, after searching among forgotten historical documents in the archives. Thus, more embodied, truer, more accessible, these sketches will make you relive a little of the animation that reigned in this place, now communal and so well restored.
For example, in 1810, you will be able to listen to a conversation between Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte and Désirée Clary, his wife;
hide, to surprise, in 1822, a dispute between a young gardener and a cook; listen, tenderized, in 1831, Anne Rouyer receiving her friend Valentine; understand why, in 1864, Countess Clary chose to create a school; and finally, much later, In 1931, you have fun of the mockery of a not serious cook and a country guard at the expense of their masters! The whole? Followed by a journalist, somewhat anachronistic in this setting, with her impertinent microphone, who will link between the 19th century and 2023...
